Puffs – The Magic Bonding

Today I got the distinct pleasure of watching hubby teaching #3 to make homemade cream puffs.  He had already made the shells and part of the cream filling by the time he found out that she really wanted to help so they ended up finishing up making the filling and the chocolate topping and they filled them together.  Since this is basically a picture post, if you’re hungry, I apologize in advance.  It’s going to make your mouth water.

Can’t wait for another hour when we can finally sink our teeth into those babies!

After they filled them but before the chocolate

Up close and naked

Daddy teaching daughter to make the chocolate topping

Chocolate up close - his hand is moving so fast it's blurry!

Starting to add the chocolate

You have to move fast because the chocolate cools fast!

#3 Takes the wheel.....er... spoon!

Two go faster than one

How better to bond than over life lessons in chocolate?

Can't cook without getting a little on yourself!

Finished product ready to go back in the fridge to chill.

That stuff is good on everything!....Even my finger.

  1. Fabulous post. My mouth is watering now and I can almost taste that chocolate. Could you loan me your husband for a cooking demo?

This is one of those father/daughter moments that you will always remember. You have to ask yourself how will your children will remember you.Trying to be a living example as great person and a great parent are so important. Having quality time with any of my wonderful girls give me the opportunity to be that great father! I know that I am blessed. Your loving father.
