Then and Now

Then and Now

Then and Now,
Now and then
Vastly different
Yet the same again

Young and innocent
Carefree and wild
Encumbered by none
Without husband or child

Then they got married
And later gave birth
Thrice worries increased
But so did the worth

Through their childhoods
And their teen years
Their tears increased
And so too the fears

Then they left home
One by one
Years flew by
And now there were none

Now some off to college
Then some out of state
Now down to two alone again
They sit together and wait

Now and then
Then and Now,
Vastly different
Yet the same somehow

Miss a few days and all of a sudden I have 14 posts of yours to read! This one really “pegs” it though…love the poem. I resemble those remarks too.

Please excuse my MIA-ness. I’ve been up to my eyeballs in moving…moving my blog from .com to .org! I’m now at http://www.peripheralperceptions.org and having a great time redecorating. Hope to see you soon.
